Landscaping Committee
The new Seneca Park HOA Landscape Committee sponsored a Conservation Montgomery Tree Conservation class for Seneca Park residents* that took place on Earth Day, April 22, 2023.
A Certified Arborist walked the community and instructed residents in the following:
- How to plant and maintain new trees so that they thrive
- Discuss native tree species
- Causes of disease and trauma
- Demonstrate how to keep mature trees healthy so they live longer, and
- Provide information packets summarizing what was learned so residents can plant and tend trees with confidence.

Landscaping Committee Needs Members
Landscaping Committee Charter information:
Number of members proposed: 3
Proposed Responsibilities:
- On a regular basis, inspect community after a landscape maintenance contractor visit and note any issues with the visit. Refer to landscape maintenance contract for guidance. Take photos if necessary.
- Through regular walk-through with at least one (1) group outing, look for possible problem areas in a proactive/preventative manner to help mitigate higher repair costs in the future. Take photos.
Examples: erosion; tree decline; plant failure; fertilization needs; pruning of trees/shrubs. - Have ability* to review any proposals from landscape maintenance contractor for enhancement work prior to Board approval and offer input, if needed.
* Propose at least two (2) walk-throughs. Take notes of ???, photos - Submit a committee report to Board prior to regularly scheduled HOA Board meetings. At least one (1) member should attend each meeting.
